Biography

This summer I spent five transformative days in Cambodia with the Sacred Dancers of Angkor, working with girls aged 8 to 30 under the mentorship of a local dance teacher. Each day began with meditation and prayer, creating a peaceful atmosphere for our movements. As we warmed up, I learned about the significance of hand positions in traditional Apsara and Blessing dances. In exchange, I taught them the fundamentals of ballet, including the five positions, barre exercises, and stretches. Despite the language barrier, we connected through dance, forging meaningful relationships that transcended words. The photographs on this page capture my involvement and the enriching cultural exchange we experienced.
